Our Background

It all started in 2011…

Using our engineering and marketing skills, we set to work solving the global problem of how to efficiently sell products to international customers, focusing on the key areas of software and logistics.

Here’s how we did it:

Crammed three people into a studio apartment

Like most startups, we began small and used the only space we had. We were still figuring out what to build, how to build it, and if it was going to work. We began calling, emailing, hustling, and designing until we had a concept and landed our first customer.

Upscaled and built infrastructure

With our first package on its way around the world, we got to work prepping and strategizing for the demand we knew would follow. We located a warehouse and office space and installed custom conveyors, so we were ready to take on anything.

The Inspiration for ecomBLVD

Working as professionals within the industry ourselves, we’d often been faced with the problem of finding reliable vendors and business solutions.

As ecommerce took off, the number of vendors grew and grew. Our clients shared stories of the difficulty they had finding reliable vendors in the crowded marketplace. The Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) was real, but they had no way of telling good vendors from bad ones.

It was around this time that SHEILA

…was a BAD GIRL!

We needed a fast, professional repair and turned to search engines to find a reputable local company. Instead, we got tradesmen who didn’t show up or whose work was questionable. Giving up on Google, we checked Angie’s List and Home Advisor, looking for verified reviews—and the experience was amazing!

Why wasn’t there a similar service for ecommerce?

That’s when we decided to change direction. We approached 10 Thousand Ecommerce Sellers (see our Community Page) and asked them the same question: Did they struggle to find reliable Vendors? Overwhelmingly, they said Yes.
